Foxy sighed as she locked the front doors and put up the *Sorry closed for renovations sign*
“Regrets?” asked a voice from behind her.
“No not really, just a little sad that in a month things will all be different”
“It’s not to late to change your mind you know”
Foxy turned to look at the black wolf standing beside the road, his hands in the pockets of his deep purple duster
“No, its better this way, a new start in a new club, It’s funny we just celebrated our second year and now I'm starting over”
She crossed her arms and shivered a little in the cool afternoon air “Come on Dar, lets go inside, I could use a drink”
They made their way down the side alley to the back entrance of the club, pushing open the door she caught sight of Digi, Al, and Laz grouped around the coffee machine
“I can always count on you lot for a fresh pot” she smiled at them and took the offered cup from Al, making her way over to the table she sank into the nearest chair, “Well that’s that done, now we just have to go through the staff lists to see who is going and needs to be paid off and who is staying and just needs holiday pay”
Digi took a seat on her right, “well the good news is that most of our security staff are sticking with us, they have faith that you can keep the club up and running after we reopen, a couple of the newer guys are going to get a temp job and see how it goes”
Laz pulled up a seat on her left and nodded “All the bar staff are staying as well”
Foxy rubbed her eyes “I'm glad to hear that, you know when Curvia said she was going to open a new place on the other side of the country my first thought was that id have to close the place”
Damadar sat down opposite her “We’re all glad you decided not to!” the others all made various sounds of agreement “So why did you want us to come in today?”
Foxy reached behind her and took down a roll of papers from the shelf “These are the plans for the renovations, I wanted to ask you guys for your opinions and any changes, tomorrow they go to the builders” She spread them out over the table “As you can see the security room is going to be enlarged at the expense of the staff room, I've budgeted for new equipment, Digi that will be your job, I need you to upgrade our whole system”
She handed him a sheet of paper “This is a tentative list of what we will need and how much we have to spend, could you look over it and give me your opinion?”
He took it and glanced over it “I’ll look it over; I have some contacts in the business so I should be able to get a few deals”
Foxy smiled at him “I knew I could count on you”
Looking at Laz she continued “As you can see the bar will have a small kitchen area at one end, we will be able to cook orders there instead of having to come back into the staff area to do it”
He nodded “good idea, means we won’t be short of staff while someone’s back making orders”
“The last thing is the name of the club will be changing, a new name for a new start, after a lot of thinking and talking I've decided to call the reopened club The Blue Leopard Bar , the interior colour design will be in blues and some of the rules will change, I’ll let you know about those later”
Leaning back in her chair she glanced around the table “Any questions?”
They all shook their heads
“Nothing right now”
“Nope”
“Sounds good”
“Hmmm?” this last being from Digi who was busily making notes on the paper Foxy had given him “Oh nope, nothing yet”
“Well then I’ll get these off to the builder’s first thing, see you guys later”
After they had all left Foxy walked around the club for one last look, switching off lights and checking locks, she’d be moving in with Ember while the building was underway, her suitcase already packed and by the door, Jacques in his carrier next to it, she picked it up and looked in at him “Ok Jackie time to go, hope you like Ember’s place”

Next episode, the grand reopening...?
I am so glad that we didn't have to wait months while the place was gutted and rebuilt!

Well.
In an attempt to be witty I thought about putting how not witty I am here, but it turns out that I am not very witty at all, which is a shame. I want to be witty.
I really do.
